The Information for Authors follows the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals of December 2014 version issued by ICMJE.

You can attach supplement materials to develop the readability of your paper.

Now, the first paper in which a movie is attached as a supplement material is on line, "Heart Modeling of Congenital Heart Disease Based on Neonatal Echocardiographic Images" by Ryo HARAGUCHI

movie Movie: Results of heart modeling from normal heart and DORV [download]

You can understand the proposed system via the movie.

In ABE, you can attach supplement materials such as movies to describe your system visually and high resolution images to present the merits of your image processing software.

Please read Section 9 of the new Information for Authors of ABE, and Section 7 of the new Instruction for Manuscript Preparation.

COI

The authors should disclose their COI in their submission.

Please read Section 7 in the new Information for Authors of ABE.

Also, the authors should declare that they disclose COI properly in their submission in Statement for Submission.

Journal Information

The Advanced Biomedical Engineering (ABE) is a peer reviewed online journal covering broad area in biomedical engineering. ABE is officially published by Japanese Society for Medical and Biological Engineering. The editorial board intends prompt and comprehensive peer review process, and the accepted articles for publication can be accessed via Internet for free.

The Editorial Board plans to open ABE through J-STAGE (https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/browse). J-STAGE is managed by Japanese government, and the contents are linked from PubMed. And, therefore, the accepted articles can be searched world widely. Moreover, no fee is charged for publication for the time being.

Scope of the Manuscripts

Studies related to any of the fields in biomedical engineering are welcomed to be submitted to ABE. The fields include but are not limited to those listed below:

Biomedical signal processing, biomedical imaging, biomedical image processing, bio-instrumentation and sensors applications, biomicro and bionano technologies, bioinformatics, computational biology, system biology, biomodeling, cardiovascular and respiratory system engineering, neural and rehabilitation engineering, cellular and tissue engineering, biomaterials, biomechanics, robotics, therapeutic and diagnostic systems and devices, therapeutic and diagnostic technology, clinical engineering, healthcare information systems, telemedicine, educational methods on biomedical engineering, regulatory science on biomedical engineering.
